Studying The Word

I recently have been on a journey to increase my spiritual maturity, by changing my personal time in the Word. I am connected in several ways; discipleship group, care team, and recently a manuscript study.

All for a desire to draw near to our faithful Savior. I pray daily that I am open completely to what my God is teaching, directing, and blessing me.

Thank you God for saving me!

Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. (Proverbs 18:2 NIV)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:16, 17 NIV)

God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. (Romans 2:6, 7 NIV)

Spiritually Fit

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. *(Hebrews 12:14 NLT)*
Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly. “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” *(1 Timothy 4:7, 8 NLT)*
Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8 NLT)

Discipleship

8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

18 For through him we both have access in plantone Spirit to the Father.
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”

Believers, we need to continually mature in our prayer lives to serve the community, church body, and our society.
